Center City Living Made For You!

This is a review for a studio apartment under Robin Apartments at 17th and Race. The place is small (about 200 SQ FT total if you count the bathroom and closet), but if you're okay with that, the price is cheap for Center City, it's pretty clean for a CC apartment (never seen a mouse for example), and the landlord family has been considerate, responsive, and helpful. The location is also close to City Hall and public transit as well as grocery stores/gyms/events, and I don't hear much noise even on the ground floor. My only two nitpicks are it can be a smidge dusty and the radiator can be noisy, but that's typical of gas-type heating places. I still think it's a great deal with rent under 1k in a prime CC location.

I have lived in a Robin Apartments apartment for 2 years now, and I cannot recommend it enough. The staff is incredibly kind, and they extend every courtesy that has become obsolete at typical property management offices today. I am able to have my important packages sent to the management office, and I always receive a prompt phone call from the office once it arrives. I have locked myself out before, and the on-call maintenance manager has arrived within 15 minutes to let me in each time. Any time an unexpected issue has arisen, Mr. Robin has offered incredibly fair solutions that left me feeling like a valued member of a community. My rent prices have also been very fair, especially for the spectacular location of my building. After 2 years, I feel comfortable saying that I am getting the best possible value living here.

I stayed at Robin Apartments for 1 year and 5 months, and my experience has been truly positive. The management has always shown care, understanding, and attentiveness. Even during my move‑out process, they made everything smooth and stress‑free. I especially want to mention Charles and Harvey — two wonderful human beings who consistently showed compassion, kindness, and professionalism. They treat you like family, and their support made my stay even better. Another big plus is the pricing — for a place right in the heart of Center City, it’s hard to beat the value you get here. Highly recommended.

Great landlord for when I moved to Philly for the first time! Their building was well appointed, clean, and taken care of. The rent was also incredibly reasonable during a winter move in for the Rittenhouse area. Everyone who works there is extremely kind and helpful.

I absolutely love Robin Apartments! I just moved out after 2 years, and I will definitely miss living there. Their prices are amazing, especially considering the location, everyone was so nice, and they took care of everything. If there was ever any issue, like a beeping smoke detector or an AC unit that needed to go in my window, they dealt with it quickly and kindly, and that made it so easy to love my time there. I honestly hope to go back to them one day. Highly recommend!

I called a Robin Apartment my home for over 7 years and had an excellent tenant experience. Mr. Robin is very kind and professional, as are his office team and maintenance crew. The rent was affordable, the team was very responsive to maintenance issues (which were not frequent), and they really do care. (For example, after we had purchased an air conditioner unit that ending up not working for our window - just in time for a heat wave - they came and installed one they had on hand, free of charge.) The Rittenhouse area is a lovely place to live, and each Robin Apartment building has such unique character - I highly recommend renting from them. (And if you do, consider joining the Center City Residents Association, which is the local neighborhood organization that is open to renters, not just homeowners! A great way to get involved, make your voice heard on local issues, be in the know on fun events, and of course enjoy the discounts at local businesses!)

Big fan of everything about this management company. I lived here for three years and was treated with care, compassion and attentiveness throughout my time. The whole team takes care of all of their tenants and I could not recommend Robin Apartments with any more gusto.

This is a great budget friendly complex. That's family owned and run. And when you live there you are family. Plus, you can't beat the heating prices anywhere in the 19103. Every complex has issues. This one has a solution based practice to resolve issues and/or minimize them quickly. I planned to stay 9 months and extended twice. Thank you: Jared, Carol, Harvey, and Mr. Charles!

I lived here for four years when I first moved back to Philly and I'm so glad I had Mr. Robin and the entire Robin family managing my building. They were courteous and prompt with any and all issues if they ever came up (rarely) and were remarkably accommodating. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I have lived here for slightly more than a year. Jared and Mr Robin have done nothing but treated me with kindness and always took care of any concerns I had. They acted very promptly on such issues. I was given a very decent unit, quiet and it was here that I found much peace and time for contemplation. They are very reasonable in their screening process. It is at a very nice part of center city and prices are very decent compared to a lot of other places. Very safe building. I had to relocate out of the country for further studies and this place, I will always remember oh so fondly and the people who contributed to my happiness while I was here. I lived in apartment for a little over a year and absolutely loved it. In addition to being in a great location in Philly the apartment was well maintained clean and Free of pests. Any repair requests were handled immediately and Mr Robin and his staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I was new to Philadelphia and didn't know anyone but Mr Robin and his team made me feel at home. I was able to live there with my sweet old lady cat in her final year of life and I am so thankful that we were both happy in our own apartment during that time, which I could afford because Mr Robin is committed to providing quality affordable housing, which is a true unicorn in this day and age. I was happy to leave Philadelphia but I wish I could have taken my apartment and Mr Robins' crew with me. Many thanks to Mr Robin, for everything! I will always remember my time there fondly.

I strongly recommend Robin Apartments. When I moved into their unit I was new to Philadelphia, but a friend of mine lived here and recommended them as landlords. I rented a one of their 1-bedroom unit for 3 years and their rent cost is very reasonable, considering the unit was a few blocks north of Rittenhouse Square and in the midst of Center City. In addition to that, the increases they make to the rent are also very affordable, and amount to a small percentage. During the pandemic, my rent did not go up for 2 years, which is something I'm thankful for. They're also fast and efficient when you place a request for a minor repair, and they always notified me in a timely manner when they were going to drop by the unit for a repair or for fumigation. Once I left the unit in order to move in with my girlfriend, I did a normal cleaning of the unit and they swiftly returned my full security deposit with no discussions or debates. Overall, one of the best landlord experiences I've had.

I can't say enough great things about Robin Apartments' staff. They are always thoughtful, attentive, and sincere. There haven't been many issues - but if something came up, someone was out to fix it the same day or at the latest, the next morning. This is a family-owned company and they have rental properties throughout Center City. I have lived in several throughout the years and the service and quality has been consistent. If you're looking to rent in Philly and you want to make sure you have a landlord who actually cares about its property AND its tenants, Robin Apartments is it! I have had other experiences with other landlords that look at their tenants only as sources as income. The staff at Robin Apartments looks at its tenants as people. Even during the heart of COVID-19 - they offered to be flexible for those unable to pay. Just really great people and I can't recommend them enough!

The best rental company in Philadelphia! You will not find nicer people than the folks that are working for Robin Apartments. The apartment that I rented was a small studio at a great location for a price much lower than anything else available near Rittenhouse. Although the fixtures and appliances are slightly older, everything works fine. I think I only ever had to call maintenance one time all year and they were very quick and professional. I have known two other people who rented from Robin and both stayed for multiple years. They both agree that the location, price, and level of service cannot be beat. If it hadn't been time for me to move, I certainly would have continued renting from Robin.

I lived in a studio at Robin Apartments at Walnut and 20th in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood for two years while I attended graduate school in Philadelphia. The apartment was simple, but the price was unbeatable for the area. I don't believe you can live anywhere as affordable in Center City. The management was always very responsive to any issues that I had. Mr. Robin is a very kind man, and I couldn't ask for a better landlord. I absolutely recommend Robin Apartments to anyone wishing to live in an affordable apartment in Center City, Philadelphia.

I had an exceptional experience renting with Robin Apartments from beginning to end. I lived in a lovely, affordable studio a few blocks from Rittenhouse Sq in the middle of so many conveniences, and it was the best lodging I've had in Philadelphia. Not only was Mr. Robin kind and accomidating, but the entire team, from viewing the apartment, moving in, anything maintenance related, etc. was responsive and professional. I can't recommend them enough.

Incredible price, location, and service. I stayed for one year at the 20th and Walnut location and had very few issues. It is an older building so there were occasional leaks, etc, but every single problem was fixed in less than one day. I've never had a landlord respond and act so promptly! Also, the apartments are super convenient if you work or study at Penn or Drexel - my daily commute was less than 10 minutes by bicycle. This place worked really well for me during my time in Philadelphia. Great apartments and great people - I highly recommend!
